Trans-central Highway in Cebu

Transcentral Highway in Cebu was a project of  former Cebu Governor “Lito” Osmeña. The Transcentral Highway also known or called as the “Mountain Highway” of Cebu was constructed as an alternative and shorter route from Cebu City to the western portion of Cebu island. It is a 33- kilometer highway that connects Metro Cebu to the Municipality of Balamban. It starts from the Metro Cebu’s Marco Polo’s Hotel then to the upper Hills of Busay and ends to the municipality of Balamban, where the nation’s biggest shipyard and one of the biggest ship industry for this country is operating.

On the 6th day of November 2011 at 9:00am we travel along the Trans-central Highway. On this trip, while travelling, I took some photos of it and some of the views are breath-taking.

There are also a lot of zip lines facility that are established on some areas along the Trans-central Highway which will also attract tourist visiting in Cebu.

So if you are bored  and tired of the polluted air in the City and wants to take a fresh breathe and feel the moist and cool air breeze of the mother nature, you can always take a joy ride on this “Mountain Highway” of Cebu, the Transcentral Highway.
